SSYO 50th Anniversary
A big thank you to everyone who came out to help us celebrate our 50th anniversary banquet and concert. It was wonderful to reconnect with so many of our alumni.
Europe Trip Fundraiser
In July, 2026 the SSYO is excited to travel to Paris where they will perform at Le Pavillon de la Sirene. The orchestra will then travel to Vienna to perform at the World Orchestra Festival.
We will be having a hot dog sale to help raise funds for our upcoming trip to Europe. Please come out and enjoy a hot dog in support of our musicians as they travel to represent Saskatchewan abroad.

The South Saskatchewan Youth Orchestra (SSYO) offers students from across Southern Saskatchewan an orchestral experience: the opportunity to learn, perform, travel, and make lasting friendships with other youth muicians. The SSYO, under the direction of Rudolf Sternadel, is open to orchestral musicians from the ages of 12-26.
Spring is around the corner, and SSYO has exciting events coming up this season. Auditions for new members and the internal concerto competition will begin soon. Learn more about how to participate and be part of this season’s musical journey.
